Chillar Party

Chillar Party is a 2011 Indian family comedy film directed by Nitesh Tiwari and Vikas Bahl.  Produced under the banner of Salman Khan’s SKBH Productions, the movie received a positive response from both critics and audiences.

The film won the 2011 National Film Award for Best Children’s film. Boxofficeindia declared it a Hit.

Taare Zameen Par

Taare Zameen Par is a 2007 Indian drama film produced and directed by Aamir Khan. Darsheel Safary stars as 8-year-old Ishaan, and Aamir Khan plays his art teacher. 

Moreover, the movie has received numerous awards, including the Filmfare Award for Best Film for 2008 and the 2008 National Film Award for Best Film on Family Welfare. It was India’s official entry for the 2009 Academy Awards Best Foreign Film but did not progress to the short-list.

Stanley Ka Dabba

Another children’s movie Stanley Ka Dabba is a 2011 Hindi film written, directed and produced by Amole Gupte. The movie received positive reviews from critics across India. Raja Sen of gave it a rating of 5 stars out of 5 stating that it was the “Best, purest film to come out of Hindi cinema in a while”.

The Blue Umbrella

The Blue Umbrella is a 2005 Indian drama film based on the novel, The Blue Umbrella (1980), by Ruskin Bond. The film, directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, won National Film Award for Best Children’s Film, 2007.

The film is about a bright girl who has a colourful blue umbrella. It teaches its viewers especially the kids that even a villain doesn’t deserve cruelty or judgement.

I Am Kalam

Another must-watch film during Children’s day is Nila Madhab Panda’s I Am Kalam. It is an inspiring film which tells the story of a sharp Rajasthani boy who looks up to President Kalam and finds the strength and confidence to follow his dreams.

Koi Mil Gaya

Another children’s movie Koi Mil Gaya made everyone emotional with this movie. Kids must watch this movie, especially during children’s day. Hrithik Roshan, the protagonist of the film, had fantastically played his role of a developmentally disabled young man.

Further, he communicates with an extra-terrestrials from outer space, which leads to something marvellous and incredible. In conclusion, Hrithik along with his friends helps the alien to send him back to his world.

Makdee is Vishal Bhardwaj debut film. It stars Shabana Azmi, Shweta Basu Prasad, Makrand Deshpande, Vijay Raaz and Alaap Mazgaonkar in the central roles. The film tells the story of a young girl and an alleged witch in a mansion. The movie explains the belief in witches and witchcraft across modern-day India.
