Sleep plays a vital role in our health and mind. A person needs daily 6-8 hours of sleep, or else the person will have to face many severe health conditions. If a person is suffering from lack of sleep, then the person must immediately consult a doctor and find a way to resolve the problem. Otherwise, they must be ready to face the initial health conditions that may occur due to insomnia.
The worst health conditions that a person can suffer because of lack of sleep are as follows:
1. Can’t get rid of stress
Sleep helps us to relax. So if we do not get proper sleep, then we can’t be able to free ourselves from tension. Hence, this will lead to some critical health conditions that a person can suffer because of too much tension, such as high blood pressure, heart problem, stroke etc.
2. Lack of sleep causes Loss of memory
Proper sleep is also essential for proper brain function. If we don’t get adequate sleep, then it will affect our brain. Our memory power diminishes, and we won’t be able to remember things accurately. In addition, we will suffer from a lack of concentration which in turn also affect the thinking ability.
A proper amount of sleep is also vital for our immunity level. If the body doesn’t get proper rest, then the body’s immune system is affected, and it cannot protect us from bacterial infections or cold and flu.
4. Lack of energy
The human body is not a machine. The body needs rest after a certain period. After performing our whole day work if we don’t sleep properly then we will not get the energy to complete our next day’s activity or task.
Drowsiness or fatigue means extreme tiredness or repeatedly falling asleep. This happens when a person doesn’t sleep properly. So one of the worst health conditions that a person can suffer because of this is fatigue or drowsiness. A person can fall asleep anywhere at home, college, office, public place anywhere. So to protect oneself from fatigue or sleepiness a person must maintain a proper amount of sleep.
As mentioned above that because of sleeplessness, a person can feel lethargic and weariness and because of this, a person can also meet an accident. A person can get asleep anywhere. If a person is walking on the road or is driving and is repeatedly falling asleep then definitely accident will take place, because this will divert the person’s concentration and can even end the person’s life. So lack of sleep can also lead to accidents.
