For new lactating moms, there is no one to advise you about your duties and challenges while your child is in its first six months. This is not even possible because every situation and every child is different. So you have to tackle it on your own. You need to understand the breastfeeding basics and how to nurse your child with love and care.
The people around you can only inspire or appreciate you. This hope of getting appreciation from others is also tiresome. Because none gonna appreciate a new mom easily. So ignore everything. Just hold your baby tightly. I’m sure the baby itself will teach you how to learn, how to govern, how to overcome the tiring situation.

Here are some tips of Breastfeeding for new MOMs to ease your journey…
1. Pre-milk secretion the first time lactating experience:
Just after the birth, there is only a little amount of pre-milk secretion. It is a yellowish or clear one. You may think the secretion is not enough for your baby. But this is not true. The amount your body is producing is enough for your little one. If you don’t have any other related diseases, do not worry.

2. Position to hold the baby while breastfeeding

Later think about your position and holding pattern while breastfeeding. It is better to sit with a support at your back. Don’t ignore! As it will give some relief to your back pain too.
Place a pillow just behind your back and sit calm and quiet. You may take another pillow on your lap and place your baby over it when the baby is too small to fit on your lap. Don’t stress yourself.
You’ll feel a relief while breastfeeding. Because there goes a nervous signal to your brain while the baby starts sucking. This is an inter-related matter. If you are relaxed enough you’ll be able to feed your baby good. And if you feed your baby enough you’ll feel better relief.
3. How often moms need to feed the baby?

Your baby is crying all the time! that doesn’t mean you’ll have to feed the baby all the time. Just make your own schedule to feed, to hug, to sing to your baby, to clean or burp the baby and to play with him/ her. All you need is nursing your child.
4. Moms need to understand the baby’s need:

Baby has no language. So it’ll cry to remind you about your duty. Probably he has abdominal colic, give him some relief. Maybe he just needs your smell, just be near him. Maybe he wants to play with you, play with him. Or sometimes he wants to sleep listening to your lullaby. Keep your attention to find out what he is trying to say by means of crying. You’ll be able to outline every need of your baby by 3-4 months. So, don’t be upset, if you are not being able to stop crying about your baby.
5. There are some problems of moms regarding breastfeeding.
No one else will ever know the strength of my love for you. After all, you’re the only one who knows what my heart sounds like from the inside ??? #newmom #pridenjoy #babyboy #myson #iloveyou @whipcreamfajita pic.twitter.com/rz0LMYWXf2

You’ll feel pain while feeding. Don’t be tensed. To a certain extent, this is quite natural. If this is excessive, then consult your doctor. You may find that, while feeding by one breast, the other will pour a certain amount of milk. This is too natural. You just need to support the other with a pad. Sometime you may also feel heaviness on your breasts. By hot pressing, drain the excess milk. You’ll feel some relief.
6. You need to follow a proper technique while breastfeeding
According to @WHO, it is recommended to exclusively #breastfeed babies for at least four to six months. Then it is time to start with complementary foods. If your baby is not growing properly, then give attention to your technique. While feeding, give your time to feed completely on one breast. Don’t change repeatedly. Because feeding on one breast completely gives your baby amount of fat it needs. After completion of one breast, feed your baby on the other.
7. Don’t take it seriously to stop breastfeeding.
The baby stops this on its own as you may use a bitter paste on the nipple. But if the baby is not willing to stop it will clear away the paste and start sucking. Don’t be upset. Continue to do so. Afterwards, the baby will be comfortable with other foods & leave it. But don’t stop hugging your baby, thinking that if your baby starts to suck!!!
Motherhood is a journey to complete your life. Don’t pay much heed to other’s opinions. Therefore, you will have to find out what is perfect for you and your baby. The unique bond between mother and baby starts from breastfeeding. So, enjoy every bit of it. Happy breastfeeding!!!
