1. Triple Talaq ban:
The Modi Government formed a bill called The Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Bill, last year i. e. 2017 and introduced it in the Parliament. Lok Sabha passed the law on 28 December 2017. However, the law faced stiff resistance in the Rajya Sabha, and several Opposition lawmakers called for it to be sent to a select committee for scrutiny. Nevertheless, Lok Sabha passed the bill finally on 27th December 2018 with strong support.
2. Rape Punishment:
Indian Government has approved the ordinance which allows dealth penalty for those who rape children under the age of 12. The executive order was cleared at a special cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 21 st April 2018.
3. Statue of Unity:
The Statue of Unity is a colossal statue of Indian statesman and independence activist Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel who was India’s first deputy prime minister. The statue is located in Gujarat, India. It is the world’s tallest statue with a height of 182 metres (597 ft).
4. Congress stages a comeback before general elections 2019
Indian National Congress, staged a remarkable comeback, winning three of the five Indian state elections. The elections took place in November-December, setting the stage for a fierce battle in the upcoming parliamentary elections in April-May 2019.
5. Maharashtra Government bans plastic
From June 23 onwards, the government of Maharastra enforced a ban on the manufacture, usage, sale, transport, handling and storage of any thermocol and plastic products.
6. 16 crucial bills passed by Parliament

This year Indian PM Narendra Modi has received this prestigious prize. The award has been given to him for his contribution to the growth of the Indian and global economies and for reducing social and economic disparity between the rich and the poor.
